Blog of 2009 past

As 2010 creeps in, I need to take a moment to share my favorite memories of 2009. I can’t seem to get going on this blog, resolution #1. After being harassed by my family over the holidays I am finally on the ball. Apparently people want to know what is going on here in Alabama!

To say that 2009 was boring would be a lie. There have been way too many changes for that to be true. I have somehow managed to live, and love being an Air Force wife through my first move. While the beginning of our move was rough, so many dark moments of being without family, friends, job, familiar faces, and of course Texas. I have since discovered that in the military your friends become your family and your husband becomes your rock. Our time in Alabama has allowed me to explore lots of new hobbies such as cake decorating, cooking clubs, pottery, painting, and I even dusted off my sewing machine. I’ve learned that I’m not alone in this crazy lifestyle, and that my friends and family at home are always a phone call away. As for me and Texas, we are still very close in heart and mind!

The year started off fast and furious with another theme party as Cougar and Guido and a surprise engagement for Megan and Clark!

In March we had a gang reunion Houston style and I finally said goodbye to my jeep of 10 years.

After making the long drive to Alabama we kept on going to Savannah and enjoyed our first anniversary in Asheville, NC.

The fall and holidays came and went and we celebrated the marriage of Megan and Clark. The Moschella family also grew to 4 with our Dixie back and the new puppy Ruby Dee. More to come on her…

So many of my friends have had babies this year it is hard to keep up. My favorite gift for 2010 thus far is this little cutie Mazie Harrington being born!
